The quality on the earlier years are the same as the broadcasting companies has, and the sound is better than the image.
In case of multiple commentaries, you will find a language setup-menu!
1956 was never recorded for TV, and 1964 has unfortunatly gone lost by DR, but both are available on Audio-CD.
The source from the earlier years are DV-tapes, and later years digitally recorded. From 1978 the contests span over 2 discs, since the shows were getting longer since more countries participated.
